2006 Plans

After a year off of racing , plans are under way to get back on the track for 2006. Stay tuned for more info. You might notice a slight change in the car to be raced!! Zeke would like to thank the Giant Tiger Racing Team for all their support while he is serving overseas in Afghanistan. He will be there from July 2005-Febuary 2006. He is there as a maintainer in the National Support Element, Maintainance Company, A-Vehicle. He wishes everyone a Happy New Year, and will see you at the beginning of next race season."

Like father, like son

On Saturday June 18th 2005, the Giant Tiger race team participated in the Civic Center Days in Petawawa Ontario. Jeff DeJong, Paul's son, raced his very first derby. The car was completely demolished, and Paul had to teach young Jeff some tricks to get him in to the next round. Jeff finished second in his heat, finished first in the consolation, and third in the feature. Not only did he have a great day in the track, he was given the driver of the day award. Congratulations to Jeff, and the rest of the Giant Tiger race team. Jeff would like to thank Zeke and Randy for building him a an excellent car, and Paul and randy for all their help on derby day.
